This gripping thriller was set on Christmas Eve as a female philosophy professor is stopped by a veteran law enforcement officer who accuses her of planting a bomb that will explode at midnight. The investigator confronted the professor with what he sees as incriminating evidence, which the accused dismisses as overly-aggressive law enforcement and paranoia about an academic who is critical about the government. The production raised important questions regarding terrorism, the rule of law, surveillance, civil liberties, and police conduct, and our persistent problems of racism and inequality.
